Local Recommendations
Meadow Mountain just outside of Minturn, CO is a great place to earn some turns in a safe, and easy to access backcountry setting. Park at the ranger station just off of I-70 and head up the well packed skin tracks to access great views and fun turns on a now defunct ski area. Check out the old cabins and line shack at the top and have a post ski beverage at the Vail Brewing Co/Rocky Mountain Taco, Minturn Saloon or Kirby Cosmos.
